205.232 Cash assistance benefits disqualification -- Protective payee --

Administrative regulations.
(1)If a custodial parent of a dependent child is disqualified from receiving cash
assistance benefits pursuant to KRS 205.193 or 205.200, the dependent child's
eligibility and any other adult family member's eligibility for cash assistance
benefits shall not be affected, and the custodial parent may choose to designate
another person as a protective payee to receive benefits on behalf of the dependent
child. The protective payee shall be an adult immediate family member of the
dependent child, if such a person is available. The protective payee shall be
approved by the cabinet.
(2)Within ninety
(90)days after July 14, 2022, the cabinet shall promulgate
administrative regulations, in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A, necessary to
administer this section.
