(1)In a school district where the district boundary extends beyond the boundary of a
single county, candidates for election to the school board shall be elected from the
district at large. Nomination papers shall be filed with and certified by the clerk of
the county in which the candidate resides in accordance with the provisions of KRS
118.165.
(a)The clerk of the county in which a certified candidate resides shall provide the
name of the certified candidate to the clerk in each county in which the school
district boundary extends.
(b)The name of the certified candidate shall appear on the ballot in all counties in
which the school district boundary extends.
(3)Each clerk shall certify the vote totals for every candidate receiving votes to the
clerk of the other counties into which the boundary of the school district extends,
and a certificate of election shall be issued in accordance with KRS 118.425.
