75-5913. Same; chairperson; procedure; compensation; meetings.
(a)The chairperson of the council shall be designated by the governor. The council shall provide for its organization and operating procedure including the selection of such other officers as deemed necessary.
(b)Members of the council attending meetings of the council, or attending a subcommittee meeting of the council authorized by the council, shall be paid amounts provided in subsection
(e)of K.S.A. 75-3223 and amendments thereto.
(c)The council shall meet at least twice a year or as often as the chairperson of the council or the secretary of the department deems necessary, or upon written request of five
(5)members of the council, but in any case, the council shall not meet more than twelve
(12)times in any one year.
