75-4618. Average fuel economy standards for state-owned vehicles; rules and regulations. Within 18 months after the effective date of this act, the secretary of administration shall adopt rules and regulations that require that the average fuel economy standard for state-owned motor vehicles purchased during fiscal year 2011 shall not be less than 10% higher than the average fuel economy standard of state-owned motor vehicles purchased during fiscal year 2008, if such higher average fuel economy standards are life-cycle cost effective for such motor vehicles purchased during fiscal year 2011.
The head of each state agency shall provide information to and cooperate with the secretary of administration for the purposes of implementing and administering this section and the rules and regulations adopted by the secretary of administration.
