75-3515. Real estate transactions of state agencies; definitions. As used in this act, unless the context otherwise requires:
(a)"Real estate transaction" means to acquire real estate, or any right, title or interest therein, by purchase, grant, gift, devise, lease or otherwise or to sell, convey, lease, exchange, transfer or otherwise dispose of real estate, or any right, title or interest therein, but does not include the lease or rental of real estate, or any right, title or interest therein, for a term of five
(5)years or less.
(b)"State agency" means any state office, officer, department, board, commission, institution, bureau or any other state authority, which is authorized by law to engage in any real estate transaction for and in the name of the state of Kansas.
