75-3343a. Operation of vending machines by blind persons at rest areas on interstate highways.
(a)The division of services for the blind of the Kansas department for children and families, in cooperation with the department of transportation, is authorized to operate vending machines at rest and recreation areas and in safety rest areas, constructed or located on rights-of-way of the interstate highways in the state of Kansas, as authorized by subsection
(b)of 23 U.S.C. § 111.
(b)As used in this section, "vending machine" means a coin or currency operated machine which dispenses articles or services.
(c)The provisions of this section shall not apply to any highway under the jurisdiction of the Kansas turnpike authority.
