75-2561. Same; budget requests of state librarian; reports of distributions and expenditures. The state librarian shall include in his or her annual budget request the estimated amount needed for the succeeding fiscal year for grants-in-aid to libraries of Kansas. This request shall be based on amounts requested by the libraries and amounts reasonably available for such purposes. The legislature may appropriate, credit or transfer funds to the grants-in-aid fund as deemed necessary.
At the time of making such annual requests for funds, the state librarian shall report all apportionments and payments of moneys to libraries in accordance with this act during the preceding twelve-month period together with the manner such funds were expended or encumbered.
