74-8794. Negotiations of sports wagering in new or existing tribal gaming compacts; management of sports wagering by tribe pending approval of compact. Upon receipt of a request to negotiate an existing gaming compact or a new gaming compact regarding sports wagering from a federally recognized Indian tribe pursuant to K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 46-2305 , and amendments thereto, the governor shall submit notice of such request to the executive director. Upon receipt of such notice, the executive director shall enter into an agreement with the federally recognized Indian tribe that made such request for the operation and management of sports wagering by such tribe or any corporation, limited liability company or other business entity wholly owned by such tribe on behalf of the state of Kansas.
Such agreement shall authorize the Kansas lottery to offer sports wagering through an interactive sports wagering platform to be managed by such tribe or business entity. The terms and conditions of such agreement shall be substantially the same as any lottery gaming facility management contract with respect to the operation and management of sports wagering.
