74-4931b. Same; payment of contributions; benefits of membership conferred.
(a)Within 35 days after the effective date of this act, the Kansas state high school activities association shall pay to the system an amount equal to the total of:
(1)All employer contributions payable from January 1, 1983, to the date of payment at the applicable rate of contribution fixed pursuant to K.S.A. 74-4920 and amendments thereto; and
(2)all employee contributions payable from January 1, 1983, to the date of payment at the rate of contribution fixed by K.S.A. 74-4919 and amendments thereto.
(b)Subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 74-4901 et seq., and all acts amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto, all rights and benefits of membership including group insurance and participating service credit shall accrue to each individual who is an employee of the Kansas state high school activities association from January 1, 1983.
