72-2677. Same; application of act. The first monthly installments of school annuities and disability annuities and salary and wage deductions under this act shall begin in September of the year in which this act takes effect. This act shall apply only to the school employees of the board of education at the time this act takes effect and to those employed subsequently: Provided, This act [*] shall not apply to persons whose employment begins after January 1, 1964, and the effective date of a statute providing for payments to the board of education from the state school retirement fund.
