72-2571. Employee assistance programs; contracts and payment of fees for provision authorized. The board of education of any unified school district may enter into contracts for the benefit of its employees and their dependents to provide for employee assistance programs which are designed to assist in the identification and resolution of personal problems which may affect the work performance of such employees. If a board of education enters into a contract for the provision of an employee assistance program, the board may pay the fees therefor from the general fund of the unified school district.
