72-1558. U.S.D. 269 authorized to transfer certain land to city of Zurich. The board of education of unified school district No. 269, Rooks county, is hereby authorized to transfer a tract of land located in the southeast quarter (SE ¼) of section 28, township 9, range 19, Rooks county, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the southeast
(SE)corner of said section 28, thence west along the south line of said section 28, a distance of 354 feet to a point, thence north 408 feet to a point, thence east 234 feet to a point, thence south 90 feet to a point, thence east 120 feet to a point, thence south 318 feet to the point of beginning, containing 3.07 acres, more or less, together with the structures thereon, to the city of Zurich, Kansas. Such transfer may be made by the board of education in consideration of $1 and no other consideration, and upon such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon by both parties. The transfer authorized by this act shall be made by warranty deed if in the opinion of the attorney of the board of education such a deed is appropriate, and if in the opinion of the attorney a warranty deed is not appropriate, such transfer shall be made by quitclaim deed. The provisions of K.S.A. 72-3216 , and amendments thereof, shall not apply to the transaction authorized by this act.
