72-1422. Recreation grounds and playgrounds; cooperation with cities. Any board is hereby authorized to purchase or lease grounds for public recreation places and playgrounds and to establish and maintain for children on such grounds and in the public school buildings and other public school grounds under the custody and management of such board, public recreation places and playgrounds and necessary accommodations for the same. Such board is also authorized to cooperate with the officers having the custody and management of public buildings and public parks and other public grounds in cities, to provide for the supervision and instruction necessary to carry on such public educational and recreational activities in such buildings and upon such parks and grounds.
