68-141a. Renting or hiring of machinery and equipment prohibited; exceptions. No board of county commissioners or board of township trustees shall rent or hire county or township machinery and equipment to residents of the county or township or to any other person for private use, except that any such board may rent or hire such machinery and equipment for private use for road clearing purposes and may make reasonable charges therefor. The board of county commissioners in any county in the state is hereby authorized to rent or hire county machinery or equipment to any township or city located in the county.
The township trustees in any township of the state is hereby authorized to rent or hire township machinery or equipment to the county or any city in the county where such township is located.
