68-110. Compensation of commissioners; viewers, chainmen, flagmen and markers; payment of costs and expenses. All persons required to render services under chapter 68 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto, shall receive compensation for each day they shall necessarily be employed, as follows, to wit: On the part of the board of county commissioners while acting as viewers, the usual salary as a county commissioner and their actual expense in going to and returning from such view.
Viewers, other than members of the board of county commissioners, chain carriers, flagmen, markers, and such other labor as may be necessary, shall receive the usual prevailing wages for such employees, as determined by the board of county commissioners. The payment of said services shall be charged as costs and expenses, and paid as other costs and expenses, on the order of the commissioners: Provided, That the surveyor shall be paid for his services in the manner prescribed by law.
