65-540. Residence not required for licensed child care homes; administration by director of early childhood on and after July 1, 2026.
(a)The secretary of health and environment shall not require as a condition of licensure for a child care home that the licensee live in the child care home.
(b)On and after July 1, 2026, this section shall be administered by the director of early childhood.
(c)From July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, this section shall be a part of and supplemental to article 5 of chapter 65 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto.
