65-506. Notice of issuance, limitation, modification, suspension or revocation of license; notice to parents or guardians of enrollees of limitation, modification, suspension, revocation or denial; unlicensed placements prohibited. The secretary of health and environment shall serve notice of the issuance, limitation, modification, suspension or revocation of a license to conduct a maternity center or child care facility to the secretary for children and families, juvenile justice authority, department of education, office of the state fire marshal, county, city-county or multi-county department of health, and to any licensed child placement agency or licensed child care resource and referral agency serving the area where the center or facility is located.
A maternity center or child care facility that has had a license limited, modified, suspended, revoked or denied by the secretary of health and environment shall notify in writing the parents or guardians of the enrollees of the limitation, modification, suspension, revocation or denial. Neither the secretary for children and families nor any other person shall place or cause to be placed any woman or child under 16 years of age in any maternity center or child care facility not licensed by the secretary of health and environment.
