46-1207. Reports of legislative studies; call of committee meetings; publication of annual report on studies.
(a)Whenever a special committee, select committee or a standing committee is authorized to make a legislative study, it shall meet on the call of its chairman as authorized by the legislative coordinating council. At the conclusion of each legislative study, the special committee, select committee or standing committee making the same shall make a report together with its recommendations thereon to the legislature. A copy of each report shall be filed with the legislative coordinating council not later than December 1, unless an extension of time is granted by such council. Every such report shall be transmitted by the legislative coordinating council, without change, to both houses of the legislature. The legislative coordinating council may provide for any special committee report, standing committee report or any report of any other legislative committee to be printed or duplicated and distributed. Any such report, or the substance thereof, or a listing thereof, may be included in the annual report of the legislative coordinating council.
(b)The legislative coordinating council shall cause an annual report to be printed and published, and such report shall be entitled "report on Kansas legislative interim studies to the _____ legislature." Such report shall contain a statement of legislative study activities and such other information as is determined by the legislative coordinating council. Such report may be contained in one or more volumes, and shall ordinarily be published in December of each year.
