43-165. Same; rules governing jury service, enforcement; unexcused nonattendance of juror, penalty. Each judicial district of the district court may direct from time to time, the number of jurors to be summoned for said court, and how long they shall be summoned before their attendance shall be required, and may make such rules and orders as it may deem proper, touching the jury service of the court, not inconsistent with the provisions hereof, and may enforce the same by attachment and fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100).
Unexcused, nonattendance of a person summoned unless reasonable cause for such nonattendance be shown to the satisfaction of the court shall be punished by the imposition of a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100) for each day of unexcused absence.
