41-410a. Exclusive territorial franchises; certain agreements; cereal malt beverage, beer.
(a)It is hereby declared to be the intent of the legislature that, for the purposes of any agreement entered into prior to April 1, 2019, pursuant to K.S.A. 41-410 , and amendments thereto, between a supplier and a distributor regarding the geographic territory within which the distributor may sell one or more brands of the supplier's cereal malt beverage or beer, or both, the term "cereal malt beverage" shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in K.S.A. 41-2701 , and amendments thereto, on the effective date of this act, and the term "beer" shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in K.S.A. 41-102 , and amendments thereto, on the effective date of this act.
(b)This section shall be a part of and supplemental to the Kansas liquor control act.
(c)The provisions of this section shall be effective on and after April 1, 2019.
