38-1206. Enforcement of compact; duties of state departments, agencies and officers; failure to comply with provisions of compact by any professional, penalty. The courts, departments, agencies and officers of this state and its subdivisions shall enforce this compact and shall do all things appropriate to the effectuation of its purposes and intent which may be within their respective jurisdictions. Failure to comply with the provisions of the interstate compact on the placement of children by any professional providing services related to the placement of children is a class C misdemeanor.
For the purposes of this section, "professional" means any person who receives payment or compensation for providing services related to the placement of children for adoption.
