24-135. Officers and employees; salary and expenses. The governing body of any drainage district shall have the power to fix the amount of compensation to be received by the members of the governing body and the board shall reimburse expenses incurred by the members of the governing body while actually and necessarily conducting the business of the drainage district. The governing body of any drainage district shall have the power to employ any person necessary to organize, maintain and operate the drainage district and the board shall pay the fees and expenses incurred by such person.
Money for salaries and expenses of the members of the governing body and the officers and employees shall be paid out of the general fund of the drainage district by the district's treasurer upon warrants issued by the governing body under its seal.
