13-1374. Parking stations; definitions; eminent domain. As used in this act and the act of which this act is amendatory, the terms "public parking stations" and "parking stations" includes parking lots, passageways, arcades, and facilities for ingress and egress to parking facilities. Any city of the first class in the state of Kansas may, in the discretion of its governing body, acquire by purchase, gift or condemnation, lands for public parking stations in or near commercial or industrial districts in such city.
In acquiring said lands for public parking stations by condemnation, the provisions of K.S.A. 26-501 to 26-516 , inclusive, shall, insofar as applicable, apply to and be followed in such condemnation proceedings.
