12-518. Same; filing of certified copies. Whenever the governing body of any city shall declare by resolution the entire boundary of such city, the city clerk forthwith shall file a certified copy of such resolution with the county clerk, with the register of deeds of the county or counties in which such city is located and with the state transportation engineer, and the city clerk of any such city in a county having an election commissioner also shall file a certified copy of such resolution with the election commissioner.
No fee shall be charged for such filings, and the register of deeds shall file but not record the certified copy of any such resolution which is filed in the office of such register of deeds.
