Sec. 86.8. "Freeholder", for purposes of this chapter and IC 13-21-3-5 , means a person who holds land:
(1)in fee;
(2)for life; or
(3)for some indeterminate period;
whether or not the person holds the land in joint title with one
(1)or more other persons.
