Sec. 11. Articles of organization. One or more individuals may organize a professional limited liability company by filing articles of organization with the Secretary of State on forms furnished by the Secretary. Such articles of organization shall meet the requirements of the Limited Liability Company Act and this Act and must also state the specific professional service or related professional services to be rendered by the professional limited liability company.
A limited liability company that provides professional services and requires registration with the Department may convert to a professional limited liability company by filing the appropriate forms with the Secretary of State. There shall be no fee for this conversion.
