Sec. 4.05. Financial Statements and Annual Reports. Within six months after the end of each fiscal year, the Board shall prepare a complete and detailed report consolidating the audits of the Service Boards and reviewing the State of the Authority, the Service Boards, and of the public transportation provided by the various Service Boards and transportation agencies. The report shall include evaluations of public transportation in the metropolitan region and of the Authority's activities, and financial statements of the Authority's and the Service Boards' revenues and expenditures for such year and of their assets and liabilities, which financial statements shall have been audited by an independent certified public accountant.
The report shall also set forth the financial results as reported to the Service Boards from each transportation agency which during such year had a purchase of service agreement with a Service Board or which received financial grants or financial assistance from a Service Board, such results to be set forth separately for each such agency. A sufficient number of copies of each annual report shall be printed for distribution to anyone, upon request, and a copy thereof shall be filed with the Governor, the State Comptroller, the Speaker and Minority Leader of the Illinois House of Representatives, the President and Minority Leader of the Illinois Senate, the Mayor of the City of Chicago and the President or Chairman of the county board of each county in the metropolitan region, each Service Board, and with each transportation agency which during such year had a purchase of service agreement with a Service Board or which received financial grants or other financial assistance from a Service Board.
