Sec. 124. District enlarged. As of August 2, 1949, the corporate limits of the Sanitary District of Chicago are hereby extended so as to embrace and include within the same the territory and tracts of land situated in the County of Cook and State of Illinois, hereinafter described as follows:
Commencing at the south west corner of the east and west half section line of Section 2, Town of Palos, running thence north to the north west corner of the east and west half section line of Section 32, Town of Lyons, thence running east to the north and south half section line of Section 33, thence running north to the Des Plaines river, following such river to the north section line of Section 33, thence running east to the north and south half section line of Section 34, thence running south to the east and west half section line of section 34, thence running west to the east section line of Section 33, thence running south to the east and west half section line of Section 33, thence running west to the east section line of Section 5, Town of Palos, thence running south to the east and west half section line of Section 5, Town of Palos, thence running west to the place of beginning; all of the above described territory being in Township 38, North, Range 12, East of the Third Principal Meridian in the Towns of Palos and Lyons, County of Cook and State of Illinois; also, all that part of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 32, Township 38 North, Range 12, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying South and East of the Right of Way of the Chicago, St.
Louis and Western Railroad Company (Sante Fe) excepting that part thereof conveyed to the Sanitary District of Chicago by Warranty Deed dated March 16, 1893; also, that part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 38 North, Range 12, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, lying southeasterly of the Chicago and Alton Railroad and westerly of the center line of LaGrange Road containing 2.622 acres more or less.
