Two or more cities, villages and townships may jointly unite in establishing and maintaining cemeteries within and without their territory or corporate limits, and acquire lands therefor in common, by purchase, condemnation or otherwise, and may lay out lots of convenient size for families, and may sell lots for family burying ground or to individuals for burial purposes.
