All actions heretofore effected and all areas dedicated under Sections 1a, 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d of "An Act in relation to the acquisition, control, maintenance, improvement and protection of State parks and nature preserves", approved June 26, 1925, as amended, "An Act relating to the creation of the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission and defining its powers and duties", approved August 28, 1963, as amended, and "An Act in relation to the designation of abandoned cemeteries as nature preserves", approved September 5, 1975, including adoption of rules, policies, and resolutions by the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission, dedication of areas as nature preserves and dedication of buffer areas shall, except as otherwise expressly provided in this Act, continue in effect without impairment or interruption and be subject to this Act.
