Sec. 65. Home rule. A home rule municipality may not administer fire protection services or emergency medical services, or both, in geographic areas incorporated within the service area of an Agency in a manner that is inconsistent with the terms of an intergovernmental agreement approved in accordance with this Act. This Section is a limitation under subsection
(i)of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution on the concurrent exercise by home rule units of powers and functions exercised by the State.
