Sec. 2. Whenever a circuit judge is temporarily relieved of circuit court duties and assigned to the Appellate Court he shall, in addition to his salary as a circuit judge, be paid for the period of such temporary service an amount equal to the difference between the salary of a judge of the Appellate Court and his salary as a circuit judge. This additional amount shall be paid by the State.
