Sec. 11.3. Compensation from a State agency. It is a violation of this Act for a person registered or required to be registered under this Act to accept or agree to accept compensation from a State agency for the purpose of lobbying legislative action.
This Section does not apply to compensation
(i)that is a portion of the salary of a full-time employee of a State agency whose responsibility or authority includes, but is not limited to, lobbying executive, legislative, or administrative action or
(ii)to an individual who is contractually retained by a State agency that is not listed in Section 5-15 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.
For the purpose of this Section, "State agency" is defined as in the Illinois State Auditing Act.
