Sec. 7.02. Each applicant for a certificate of competency as electrical hoisting engineer shall produce evidence satisfactory to the Mining Board that he is a citizen of the United States or lawfully admitted for permanent residence, at least 21 years of age, that he has had two years' experience with electrical hoisting equipment, or has completed a training course in operation and maintenance of electrical hoisting machinery approved by the Mining Board and is of good repute and temperate habits.
He shall pass an examination as to his practical and technical knowledge of the construction of same, the care and adjustment of electrical hoisting engines, the management and efficiency of electric pumps, ropes and winding apparatus and as to his knowledge of the laws of this State in relation to signals and the hoisting and lowering of men at mines.
