Sec. 4.25. Each State Mine Inspector shall collect samples of mine atmospheres and mine dusts for analysis by the Departmental Analytical Laboratory. All such samples shall be collected in accordance with the rules of the Mining Board and submitted to the Analytical Laboratory. The results of analysis of mine atmosphere samples by the Analytical Laboratory shall be used by the State Mine Inspector as a basis for classification of mines as being gassy or non-gassy. The results of analysis of dust samples by the Analytical Laboratory shall be used by the State Mine Inspector as a basis for recommendations with respect to the rock dusting requirements of this Act.
The operator of the mine from which samples of air and dust are taken shall be furnished a copy of the results of such analysis.
