Sec. 5. Title. Every person to whom a valid existing certificate as a certified shorthand reporter has been issued under this Act shall be designated as a Certified Shorthand Reporter and not otherwise, and any such certified shorthand reporter may, in connection with the reporter's practice of shorthand reporting, use the abbreviation "C.S.R." or the title "Court Reporter". No person other than the holder of a valid existing certificate under this Act shall use the title or designation of "Certified Shorthand Reporter", "Court Reporter", or "C.S.R.", either directly or indirectly in connection with that person's profession or business.
