Sec. 13-900.1. Authority over 9-1-1 rates and terms of service. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Article, the Commission retains its full authority over the rates and service quality as they apply to 9-1-1 system providers, including the Commission's existing authority over interconnection with 9-1-1 system providers and 9-1-1 systems. The rates, terms, and conditions for 9-1-1 service shall be tariffed and shall be provided in the manner prescribed by this Act and shall be subject to the applicable laws, including rules or regulations adopted and orders issued by the Commission or the Federal Communications Commission.
The Commission retains this full authority regardless of the technologies utilized or deployed by 9-1-1 system providers.
