Sec. 50-25. Youth Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Prevention Fund. There is hereby created in the State treasury a special Fund to be known as the Youth Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Prevention Fund. Monies in this Fund shall be appropriated to the Department and expended for the purpose of helping support and establish community-based alcohol and other drug abuse prevention programs. On June 30, 2026, or as soon thereafter as practical, the State Comptroller shall direct and the State Treasurer shall transfer the remaining balance from the Youth Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Prevention Fund into the General Revenue Fund.
Upon completion of the transfer, the Youth Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Prevention Fund is dissolved, and any future deposits due to that Fund and any outstanding obligations or liabilities of that Fund shall pass to the General Revenue Fund. This Section is repealed on January 1, 2027.
