Sec. 4.02e. Adult day service program certification. For the purpose of long term care insurance payouts to clients of the Department's program of services to prevent unnecessary institutionalization established in Section 4.02 of this Act, a contract with the Department for the procurement of adult day services or adult day health services shall constitute certification by the Department of the adult day services. For the purposes of this Act, "adult day services" and "adult day center" means the direct care and supervision of adults aged 60 and over in a community-based setting for the purpose of providing personal attention and promoting social, physical, and emotional well-being in a structured setting.
For the purposes of this Act, "adult day health services" means the direct care and supervision of adults aged 60 and over in a community-based setting for the purpose of providing ancillary health services, as defined by administrative rule, thereby promoting social, physical, and emotional well-being in a structured setting.
