Sec. 16. Quarterly business report. The office of the Secretary of State shall issue a quarterly report to the General Assembly detailing the number of businesses registered with the Secretary of State, the number of new businesses incorporating or otherwise forming in Illinois, and the number of businesses renewing registrations in Illinois by category, including, but not limited to, limited and limited liability partnerships, corporations, and limited liability companies. The report shall include comparable data from the corresponding quarter of the previous calendar year and shall reflect any increases or decreases.
The office of the Secretary of State shall publish the report on its website.
