Sec. 32-4.14. Issuance of orders.
The corporate authorities of any special charter district having a population of less than 500,000 may issue and deliver at least once each month to the teachers and employees of the district orders on the treasurer of the district in payment of their salaries. Such orders shall state the rate of compensation and time for which the teacher or employee is paid and an order so issued, properly endorsed and paid in full shall be sufficient receipt for the purpose of this and the succeeding section.
The corporate authorities shall issue no order except an order for the payment of wages of teachers and employees unless at the time of its issuance there are sufficient funds in the hands of the treasurer to pay it.
