Sec. 13-42. The Director of the Department of Juvenile Justice shall be the President of the Board of Education and the Secretary of said Board of Education shall be designated at the first regular meeting of said Board of Education. The Board shall hold regular meetings upon the call of the Chairman or any 3 members at such times as they may designate so long as they meet at least 6 times a year. Public notice of meetings must be given as prescribed in Sections 2.02 and 2.03 of "An Act in relation to meetings", approved July 11, 1957, as heretofore or hereafter amended.
No official business shall be transacted by the Board except at a regular or special meeting. A majority of said Board shall constitute a quorum.
The Board shall keep a record of the official acts of the Board and shall make reports as required by the State Board of Education and any reports required which shall be applicable to this type of school district and specifically shall maintain records to substantiate all district claims for State aid in accordance with regulations prescribed by the State Board of Education and to retain such records for a period of three years.
The Board shall be supplied such clerical employee or employees as are necessary for the efficient operation by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
