(1)A school district or public charter school shall report to the state department of education all newly enrolled students when such students have enrolled from a public charter school that has closed during a school year.
(2)The state department of education shall use the reported enrollment information provided for in subsection
(1)of this section to calculate the funding that the district or public charter school would have received had those reported new enrollees been enrolled in such district for the entire school year.
