1. In addition to any other order of the juvenile court, a child who may be in need of treatment, as determined under section 232.8, may be ordered to participate in a physical assessment or behavioral health evaluation approved by the juvenile court. The court may order the child to participate in a treatment program approved by the court if the treatment program is recommended after the child’s physical assessment or behavioral health evaluation. The juvenile court may also require the custodial parent or parents, or guardian, to participate in an educational program with the child if the court determines that such participation is in the best interests of the child.
