PART VII. EXEMPTION OF SPECIMEN FROM DISCLOSURE;
CONFIDENTIALITY
[§844D-81] Exemption of specimen from disclosure.
(a)All DNA and forensic identification profiles and other identification information retained by the department pursuant to this chapter shall be exempt from any law requiring disclosure of information to the public and are confidential except as otherwise provided in this chapter.
(b)All evidence and forensic samples containing biological material retained by the department or other state or local law enforcement agency are exempt from any law requiring disclosure of information to the public or the return of biological specimens, samples, or print impressions.
