§353-28 Property given to committed persons. All property given or in any manner whatsoever accruing to a committed person, shall vest in the committed person's conservator, if the committed person is sentenced for a term of years, to be disposed of in the same manner as the committed person's other property; or if the committed person is sentenced for life, shall vest in the committed person's heirs or legatees; provided that any funds accumulated by the committed person and placed into an account as provided under section 353 - 20 shall be under the control and management of the director.
