[§286-9 Facilities for physically handicapped persons.] The state director of transportation, under the director's authority dealing with highway design, construction, and maintenance and the director's authority dealing with pedestrian safety, shall provide that appropriate facilities be constructed at certain street locations for the use of physically handicapped persons.
