[§304A-503] Hawaii opportunity program in education. There is established the Hawaii opportunity program in education
(HOPE)to be placed within the University of Hawaii for administrative purposes to support financially needy students, with priority given to students from ethnic groups that are underrepresented in the student population of the university. The university is encouraged to provide tuition waivers and seek private donations for scholarship support for HOPE students. [L 2006, c 75, pt of §2]
