15-14-24. Board of Court Reporting of Judicial Council; creation; composition; term; vacancies; removal.

There is established a board which shall be known and designated as the “Board of Court Reporting of the Judicial Council.” It shall be composed of nine members, five members to be certified court reporters, two members to be representatives from the State Bar of Georgia, and two members to be from the judiciary, one to be a superior court judge and one to be a state court judge, each of whom shall have not less than five years’ experience in their respective professions. The board shall be appointed by the Judicial Council. The term of office shall be two years, and the Judicial Council shall fill vacancies on the board.
Any member of the board may be removed by the Judicial Council after a hearing at which the Judicial Council determines that there is cause for removal.
