455.2286 Automated information system.

The department shall implement an automated information system for all certificateholders and registrants under part XII of chapter 468, chapter 471, chapter 481, or chapter 489. The system shall provide instant notification to local building departments and other interested parties regarding the status of the certification or registration. The provision of such information shall consist, at a minimum, of an indication of whether the certification or registration is active, of any current failure to meet the terms of any final action by a licensing authority, of any ongoing disciplinary cases that are subject to public disclosure, whether there are any outstanding fines, and of the reporting of any material violations pursuant to s. 553.781 .
The system shall also retain information developed by the department and local governments on individuals found to be practicing or contracting without holding the applicable license, certification, or registration required by law. The system may be Internet-based.
